Iron frying pans of reliable quality,
made in Germany for over 160 years.
Turk, founded in 1857 by Albert Karl Turk, a skilled blacksmith, is a brand that has been manufacturing durable frying pans for over 160 years from its factory in the Ruhr region, the heart of Germany's iron manufacturing industry.
Turk offers two main types of frying pans: the Classic series, which is crafted by skilled artisans who repeatedly hammer out a block of heated iron, and the Press Pan, which is formed from a sheet of iron using machinery. The former has a persistent popularity for its substantial weight and rugged texture, but the latter, the Press Pan, is lighter than the Classic series, and its long, straight handle with a slightly bent tip is easy to handle. It is designed for everyday use and is also appealing for its relatively affordable price.
Both the Classic and Press Pan series offer excellent heat distribution and heat retention, allowing for stable cooking that slowly brings out the deliciousness of ingredients. At kikkake, we have selected the Press Pan as our recommended "first Turk" frying pan.

It cooks food gently and thoroughly,
bringing out the sweetness and umami
of meat and vegetables.
When it comes to iron frying pans, you might have the impression that they are "difficult to maintain" or "cook too quickly and burn." However, once you actually use one, you'll find that maintenance becomes easy with practice, and the heat actually penetrates the ingredients gently and thoroughly. And above all, food cooked in a Turk frying pan turns out incredibly delicious. Not only meat and fish dishes like steak, hamburgers, bacon and eggs, and sautéed fish, but even just potatoes, onions, or mushrooms, slow-cooked with salt and pepper, reveal a vibrant sweetness and umami. The usual ingredients turn out so wonderfully delicious that you'll want to cook with your Turk again and again. We hope you'll experience this delightful cycle.

A beautiful, shallow design.
We offer a versatile 24cm size.
It's difficult to acquire multiple iron frying pans, so if you're only getting one, we recommend this "Press Pan Shallow 24cm." It can serve 1 to 4 people, and its weight is just light enough not to tire you out while cooking. Since it's not as easy to toss food around as with an aluminum frying pan, it's recommended for dishes that you cook slowly on the stove. We hope you'll also enjoy its beautiful appearance, which, being shallow, makes food look even more appealing.

After daily use, wash it before it cools,
then place it on the stove to evaporate moisture.
To ensure long-lasting use, initial seasoning requires a bit of effort. ① Briefly rinse with water, then wash with cream cleanser and a steel scourer. ② Rinse off the cleanser with water, wipe away moisture, then pour plenty of oil, add vegetable scraps (like potato peels) and 1 tablespoon of salt, and heat over low heat. ③ Stir occasionally with a spatula; when the vegetables are browned, turn off the heat and let cool. ④ Once cool, remove the oil and vegetables. If salt remains, scrub with a paper towel. ⑤ Then, rinse thoroughly with hot water, wipe dry with a paper towel, and heat on the stove again to evaporate any remaining moisture. After these steps, seasoning is complete (you can also refer to the included instructions for the procedure).
Additionally, when cooking, "pour oil and heat until smoke appears before adding ingredients." After cooking, "rinse with hot water while the pan is still warm, wash with a metal scourer, then heat on the stove to evaporate moisture." Following these care instructions will ensure your pan remains rust-free and lasts for many years.
