This cutlery stand, which neatly stores kitchen tools of various shapes, sizes, and materials such as chopsticks, spoons, wooden spatulas, ladles, and cooking chopsticks, is from 1+0 pottery, produced by ceramic artist Kan Ito. Among Ito's artistic works, this one received particularly frequent requests for commercialization. Following the production method of the original artwork, instead of slipcasting (a method of shaping by pouring clay into a mold), which is relatively easy to mass-produce, each piece is made on a mechanical potter's wheel, meaning it receives the same time and effort as a handcrafted piece.
Even if you frequently take out and put away cooking tools, its neatness remains. When placed in the kitchen or on a dish rack, it naturally blends in as if it had always been there. It's a cutlery stand that feels like it possesses the capacity to be a "tool for storing tools."

Available in two sizes, large and small, they are just the right size to be balanced whether used alone, in a combination of large and small, or with multiple pieces of the same size. The large size is big enough to securely hold tall cooking tools such as ladles, spatulas, and cooking chopsticks. The small size is stable and easy to retrieve measuring spoons and wooden spoons, and is perfect for cutlery such as chopsticks and spoons.
These two sizes differ not only in height but also in diameter, so it's recommended to choose the small size if you want to store items compactly without taking up much space, and the large size if you want to store many items. Even if you put cooking tools like cooking chopsticks and silicone spatulas in the small size, they can be stored compactly.
