Stable but not heavy.
A fresh, round cutting board.
I believe that having various types of cutting boards allows you to switch them depending on the ingredients or situation, which makes cooking a little more enjoyable and changes your mood.
This cutting board is as easy to use as a standard rectangular cutting board, offering solid stability. Yet, its "round" shape feels fresh and gives it a stylish impression.
While it has a good thickness, it's not particularly heavy. Round means the corners are removed, reducing some of the weight, and in daily cooking, "not particularly heavy" is quite important.
Compared to a square cutting board of the same diameter, the usable space isn't much different, but the ease of taking it out and putting it away without getting tired is also a great advantage of this "round" shape.

The soft cutting feel and water drainage

The light and pleasant "thonk-thonk" sound of the knife is probably because it's made from ginkgo wood, which has just the right amount of elasticity. Ginkgo wood contains a moderate amount of oil, which allows for good water drainage and helps knife marks return to their original state, so I'm told.
When you use it, you'll notice how soft the blade's impact feels and how easily you can cut with a good rhythm.

We also recommend stacking cutting boards.
When cutting meat, fish, or aromatic vegetables, repeatedly washing the cutting board is quite a hassle, and switching cutting boards can take up space and be somewhat difficult. In such cases, we recommend placing a small, light plastic cutting board on top of this woodpecker cutting board and using them together.
Its solid thickness makes it stable enough to serve as a base, and being able to easily cut vegetables, then seafood, then vegetables again, seems to improve the pace of cooking.

Before use, rinse with water.
After use, wash and dry, and you're good to go.
Wetting it with water before use makes it less likely for food moisture and colors to penetrate, and prevents odor transfer. Then, if you make it a habit to wash it immediately after use, wipe off excess water with a cloth, and stand it up to dry, you can use the wood for a long time without damaging it.

- Please refrain from using a dishwasher as it may cause warping or cracking.
