The plate itself is made of pottery (Mino ware) with a pleasingly uneven glaze. The mesh is made of durable stainless steel, produced in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, renowned for its metalwork. • The plate is microwave and dishwasher safe, and the mesh is dishwasher safe only. When using a dishwasher, please load the plate and mesh separately.
• The plate has high absorbency, so if food with high moisture content is left on it for a long time, bleeding may occur or stains may soak in.
• Do not leave the mesh with moisture or dirt attached, or store it in a humid place. This can cause rust. Also, prolonged soaking can cause surface peeling or discoloration.
• Do not place near fire.
• Do not use scrubbing brushes or abrasive cleaners, as they may cause scratches.
